About AdSwap AI

AdSwap AI is a computer-vision system that detects the advertising boards in sports video and replaces them with different ads.
It exists today as a working proof of concept, shown on real broadcast footage.
We are looking for pilot partners to test it on their own footage.

What we have built

Working proof of concept

Detection, tracking and replacement work end to end. The clip on the home page is recorded output from this pipeline. The processing server is currently switched off, so there is no public demo.

Built on broadcast footage

Developed on football broadcast video: moving cameras, floodlights, compression, and players in front of the boards.

Mask-level output

Boards are found as pixel-accurate masks rather than boxes, so edges hold up in close-ups and camera moves.

Occlusion-aware

Players, balls and other moving objects are kept in front of the replaced board.

How it differs from virtual advertising

No camera tracking hardware

It works from the video itself. No camera sensors and no changes to the broadcast setup.

Works on recorded video

Highlights, replays and archive footage can be processed, not only a live feed.

What is still open

So far it has been tested mainly on football. Other sports and camera setups need validation, and live use is not built yet.

Planned next

Offline editor

A self-service tool for processing pre-recorded video.

Live mode

Replacement during a live broadcast. This needs real-time speed and is not built yet.

API and plugins

Integration with video editors and broadcast systems.

Working together

Pilots

We are looking for broadcasters, agencies or rights holders who want to test it on their own footage.

Technical partners

Machine learning and video engineers who want to help move the proof of concept toward a product.
